Key Club is taking over Six Flags on Saturday, August 29! Make plans now to join hundreds of other Key Club members from around the state for a day of fun, leadership development and of course, awesome rides!

The 2020 Georgia Leadership Training Conference at Six Flags Over Georgia will be held on Saturday, August 29.

COVID-19 Response

The Georgia District's top priority is to ensure the safety of its members, advisors and volunteers. Due to current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we would like to know your comfort level and opinions on attending the upcoming Georgia Leadership Training Conference.

Additional Precautions / Changes:

In addition to the implemented social distancing / limited capacity / required face coverings / temperature checks by Six Flags Over Georgia (read more here), the following changes will be implemented for the Key Club-specific event:

  • Adjusted schedule - 12:15pm lunch and 1:00pm-2:00pm session time. Park is open 12 noon to 8pm. 

  • No name badge / ticket pickup registration at the front gate to minimize contact points.

  • All tickets / parking passes will be mobile delivery.

  • The event in its entirety will take place in the large, open-air Peachtree Pavilion with 30% capacity (this includes the general session and lunch).

  • Clubs will be required to stay together while during the event and each attendee must keep their face covering on unless they are eating / drinking. 

  • Lunch will be served with new requirements to ensure minimized touch points (no self-service buffet options).

Key Club members, advisors, Kiwanians and chaperones are requested to take this brief survey to help us understand and gauge interest for the 2020 Georgia Leadership Training Conference. A decision will be made on whether to move forward or cancel the event by July 15, 2020. All registrations are 100% refundable.

**Students that register on their own MUST pay via a credit card – otherwise the Key Club / school will be held responsible for the entire registration cost – even if the student does not attend the event.**

The deadline to register is August 21 (check OR credit card). No late registrations will be accepted due to additional measures taken for safety / health. 

Parking

Each vehicle must request their own unique parking pass.

 

Cost

The cost to attend the Georgia Leadership Training Conference is:

  • $48 – Registration (includes ticket to Six Flags, parking, admission to Key Club session and an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch)

  • $21 – *SEASON PASS* Registration (must have a Six Flags season pass valid for admission, only includes Key Club session and an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch)

All attendees MUST register through Key Club and have a valid admission ticket / season pass for Six Flags. The Key Club event takes place inside the Six Flags park.

Schedule

11:00 a.m. – Parking lots open at Six Flags Over Georgia

12 noon: Six Flags Over Georgia opens
12:15 p.m. : Lunch in the Peachtree Pavilion (Lickskillet section next to Blue Hawk roller coaster)

1:00 p.m.: General session in the Peachtree Pavilion
2:00 p.m. : Event ends – free time to have fun in the park
8:00 p.m. : Six Flags closes for the day

Details

The Georgia Leadership Training Conference (informally known as “GLTC’) will be held on – Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Six Flags Over Georgia.

 

GLTC is a high-energy, action-packed event open for all high school students and Kiwanis Family members. Upcoming officers will receive training and club members will be introduced to their district board and respective Lieutenant Governors, as well as meeting new friends from across the entire state of Georgia!

 

The cost to attend is $48 per person and includes:

-Admission to Six Flags Over Georgia ($69.99 value!)
-Parking
-Event registration
-All-you-can-eat lunch

 

Individuals with a 2020 Six Flags Season Pass can attend for just $21. 

 

Cancellation Policy

Due to meal guarantees, no cancellations/refunds can be made after August 21, 2020. Substitutions can be made through August 26, 2020.

 

Lunch Menu

The following will be the menu for the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet:

  • Fried Chicken Sandwiches

  • Pulled Pork BBQ

  • Green Beans

  • Macaroni & Cheese

  • Ice Cream Bars

  • Unlimited Coca-Cola beverages (during lunch)

Anyone needing a vegetarian option MUST indicate this during registration. Other dietary restrictions may not be accommodated.
