Communication is one of the most important parts of being a successful Key Clubber. As we know, Key Club is a student ran organization focused on leadership, service, and making a difference in our world. To make this club organized, members must be able to communicate with one another, their officers, advisors, and the people they serve.

One reason communication is important is that it helps keep everyone informed and organized. For example, if members do not know when upcoming meetings, service projects, fundraisers and events are, they may not get to enjoy the opportunity to change their community. Members need to know about upcoming important dates because it helps prevent confusion, missed opportunities and simple misunderstandings.  Having clear communication allows club officers to share important information and make sure everyone understands their responsibilities.

Communication also builds teamwork. Key Clubbers  work together on every project that requires cooperation and effort. By sharing different ideas, listening to others, and asking questions, members can work together to solve problems and make their projects more successful. Since everyone has different strengths and perspectives, good communication allows each member to feel heard and valued.

Communication helps Key Club make a greater impact through service. For example, working with other organizations,  members of your community, and other Kiwanis branches, you must be able to have clear and respectful communication. When everyone understands the importance of a project, it becomes easier to work toward a common goal and serve the community effectively.
