Looking to boost your club’s impact this season? Whether you’re planning a spooky-themed event or want a simple way to serve your local community, here are two creative service project ideas that can help your club make a difference, starting today.
Host a Halloween Movie Night in support of Trick or Treat for UNICEF
This October, your Key Club can bring your homes, schools, and communities together by hosting a Halloween Movie Night, a fun, safe, and easy-to-plan event that doubles as a fundraiser for Trick or Treat for UNICEF.
Reserve a space, choose your movie, promote the event through your socials, and collect donations, whether that is charging an entrance fee or selling concessions. You can also set up a table specifically for Trick or Treat for UNICEF! Encourage some costumes and hold a mini costume contest. Invite elementary schools, families, other clubs, or your whole community and make this fundraiser the best possible!
Organize a Community Clean-Up Day
A clean-up day is simple but powerful way to give back. Choose a local park, neighborhood, or event your own school and rally volunteers to pick up litter, plant flowers, or pait benches. It’s hands-on, visible service that brings your club together while improving the space for everyone.
You can also invite other school clubs or community members to join and turn it into a mini service fair or day of action! This kind of project is easy to organize, works year-round, and leaves a lasting impact on your homes, schools, and communities. Find your time and place, promote on your socials, and you’re ready to serve your community!
Highlighting your projects
We want your impactful service projects to be seen! Don’t be afraid to tag @gakeyclub on instagram when you post a recap about your project, or submit a club spotlight through your Lieutenant Governors Newsletters!
We can't wait to see your service projects and continue to live out the Key Club motto: Caring–Our Way of Life.
