Local Club Spotlight!

Editor Simone Pete

By: Simone Pete District Bulletin Editor and Public Relations Committee

The Key Clubs in the Georgia district work very hard to uphold the Objects of Key Club International through service, leadership, and multiple demonstrations of compassion. On behalf of the Georgia District, we want to recognize all your hard work and give you all the recognition you deserve for being such passionate service leaders!

This Month's Highlight comes from the Jackson County Comprehensive High School Key Club!

Here is their story...

"One of the first projects we have done was our members made “Freshman Survival Packs” for our class of 2023. These packs included maps of the school, classroom locations, classroom numbers, pens, pencils, and a few pieces of chocolate for a sweet treat. We wanted to make our freshmen feel welcomed this year and have them start off on the right foot."

"Another one of the service projects that we did was a landscaping project at our school. Lots of students walk through this area on a daily basis and the area became very muddy. Our members made a pathway for the students so they wouldn’t have to walk through mud. We spent our Saturday morning laying down mulch on the side of the school. Then on top of the mulch, we put down slabs of stones for an easier way to walk. "

The attentive projects of the Jackson County Comprehensive High School Key Club towards their freshman, the next generation of leaders, were perfect to illustrate how Key Club improves the lives of people everywhere.

This is just one example of ways you can make a difference. We would love to hear about all the amazing things you and your club are doing! Remember, no act is too small in the name of service!

Thank you to the Georgia District Board of Trustees for all the support and guidance. Special thanks to all Key Clubs across Georgia, without your valiant efforts and participation, the Key Ring would not be where it is today.

Key Ring: The Key Ring is the official Blog of the Georgia District. It helps the district spread awareness of Key Club and allows clubs to share their success stories and to learn from each other. The content is developed and 100% by the editor but made possible by the content submitted by Key Club Members across Georgia.
