Partner Spotlight: Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes

Each month, Georgia District Key Club is proud to shine a light on the incredible

partnerships and service initiatives that define our impact across the state. Through the Partner

Spotlight, we recognize the organizations that allow our members to practice leadership through service and create lasting change in the lives of Georgia’s youth.

The relationship between the Georgia District of Key Club and the Georgia Sheriffs’

Youth Homes (GSYH) is one of our most enduring legacies. For over 30 years, Key Clubbers

have dedicated themselves to supporting GSYH’s mission: providing a safe, loving home for

abandoned, neglected, and abused children. This partnership represents a powerful commitment where youth help youth, ensuring that every child in Georgia has the stability and guidance they need to succeed.

Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes offers full-time residential care across five campuses,

including the Herrington Homestead in Emanuel County. At Herrington Homestead, residents

live on a beautiful 700-acre farm that emphasizes personal responsibility and character

development. To ensure these children have a comfortable environment in which to grow, the

Georgia Key Club has set a goal to raise $7500 by March 2027 for the Key Club Herrington

House. To reach this $7500 total, each club has a goal of raising $100. This funding will go

directly toward reconstruction efforts and new furniture, turning a house into a true home.

We believe it is important to celebrate the collaboration that makes our district so strong.

Our work with GSYH is more than just fundraising; it is about building a future where every

young person feels valued. As we continue to "Live the Legacy," we encourage every club to

find creative ways to support this vital cause.

Together, we are making a difference, one home at a time.
