Children trick-or-treat for candy on Halloween, but Trick or Treat for UNICEF gives Key Club

members the opportunity to do something a lot more helpful. They aren't just receiving treats;

they're changing lives for kids everywhere. This program assists UNICEF in offering clean

water, nutrition, school materials, and medical care to children who need it. It has raised millions and improved countless lives since being initiated in 1950.

The idea started with a few children in Philadelphia who wished to raise coins instead of candy

to give to children following World War II. It started small, but it grew fast. Now, Key Club

collaborates with UNICEF each year to keep that attitude of service and compassion alive.

It's incredibly simple to get involved. You can set up a fundraising page on the UNICEF USA

website, get an awesome orange donation box at school, or collect when trick or treating. Some

clubs even host fun Halloween parties or coin drives to raise further funds and spread the word.

Every bit helps. Five dollars can even get a child clean water for a whole month. Trick or Treat

for UNICEF is the perfect way to show what Key Club is all about: caring, leadership, and

service.

By joining in, you’re making a difference that reaches far beyond your community. It’s a fun way

to do good, hang out with friends, and prove that even on Halloween, service can be sweet too.
