Why I Joined Key Club

Beginning of freshman year, as I walked through the unfamiliar halls of my high school, a Key Club interest meeting poster caught my eye. Wanting to join clubs and grow my extracurricular activities, I attended the meeting, not knowing it would lead me all the way to being on the District Board.

I've always loved volunteering: I walked dogs at rescue shelters, worked stations at my local elementary school fairs, and played music at retirement homes. Key Club grew my love and motivated me even more. The welcoming community and people's genuine passion for service made it clear that Key Club was the club for me.

I continued to be active in my home club, running for an officer position sophomore year and eventually, I decided I wanted to be involved on a greater scale and chose to run for the district board. Now, combining my strengths in communication and design, I am able to help our district grow to greater heights.
