It is crucial that members (especially officers) of Key Club attend divisional council meetings (DCM). DCM is an opportunity for Key Club members to interact with their respective lieutenant governors face-to-face, build connections, share their struggles within their school's Key Club, and brainstorm ideas for a divisional rally, among other things. Think of it as a toolbox to get the most out of Key Club. Now members can access the information on how to attend DCMs by checking their division's Instagram page and checking their emails if they're an officer. Now, if you are not getting your emails when you are an officer, you need to contact your lieutenant governor immediately and let them know of the situation. If you are a member, want to attend, but don't have access to Instagram, reach out to your school officer or your lieutenant governor by email, and they will be more than happy to help. Also, keep in mind that DCMs can be hosted in various ways by lieutenant governors, such as through Zoom meetings, in-person movie nights, or game nights. If the DCM is conducted via Zoom/Google Meet, the lieutenant governors will send it via email and Instagram. If the DCM is conducted in person, the location information will be shared via email and Instagram.

Furthermore, DCMs can be conducted across multiple divisions, resulting in a joint DCM. For example, divisions 14 and 15 can hold a DCM together instead of doing it separately, and that is also an opportunity for Key Club members to connect with people outside of their own division. Now you know what DCMs are, how to attend, and the benefits you gain from them. Also, if you have any suggestions for what you can do in DCM, don't be afraid to reach out to your lieutenant governor; we are always open to suggestions!
