Governor's Greeting 2023-24

Hey Key Clubbers! My name is Armin Sedghi, and I have the honor of serving as the Governor of Georgia Key Club for the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you all so much for a fantastic service year! Whether you're a club president or a general member, each Key Clubber has the ability to help change thousands of lives. You have made a meaningful impact on the community through productive monthly (or weekly!) meetings and innovative volunteering projects. The Georgia Executive Board thanks you for your service.

Some of you may be asking yourself, "Wait, there's a state executive board?". Well, there is! The State Board (with the formal term being the Georgia District Board) is responsible for directing and promoting all things Key Club while running state-wide events. The board is comprised primarily of Lieutenant Governors, who oversee specific clubs, serve as a liaison, and represent their divisions (a group of clubs in an area). There are also Committee Chairs who lead task forces composed of the Lieutenant Governors. Last, there's the board Secretary-Treasurer, Bulletin Editor, and the Governor (that's me!). As Governor, I oversee the state board and represent the 5,000 Key Clubbers across Georgia on an international level (and yes, there's a Key Club International as well!).

So, how can you become more involved with the District Board and learn how to be a better Key Clubber? Well, a great way to do this is by attending our Georgia Leadership Training Conference (GLTC) on Sunday, September 10, at Six Flags over Georgia! This high-energy event will help you make new friends who are passionate about service, deepen your leadership skills, and, most importantly, learn how to be the best Key Clubber you can be! After an exciting morning conference, you can explore the theme park with others and enjoy its attractions! Find out more using this link: https://www.gakeyclub.org/gltc .

Thank you all for your dedication to Key Club this year! I hope to see many of you at GLTC this September!
